CSA Long Island Celiacs Chapter #23
Welcome to the Long Island Celiac Support Group. We are here to help people understand celiac disease and adjust to the gluten-free diet. Our support group is around 350 members strong and growing. For more information contact Jim contact info below. We want to welcome everyone to participate in the process of "Celiacs Helping Celiacs".
There are an estimated 3.1 million people living on Long Island. With an estimated 1 in every 133 people potentially having celiac disease, that means there are approximately 23,000 plus people with celiac disease on Long Island.
As a CSA Chapter let's work together and increase awareness of Celiac Disease.
The Long Island Chapter Chairperson - Jim Blank
A welcome from Jim Blank
I took over the operations of running our Long Island Celiac Support group in 2005. I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 1993 and became a member of a Long Island celiac group as well as our National CSA support organization. I have spent all that time helping people adjust to a life style change with celiac disease and the gluten-free diet.”In January 2007, I was elected to the governing board of CSA.
