CSA TeenScene
All minors under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian that is a registered conference participant.
 

Facilitators:  Mike Mailand, Scout leader and high school religious  instruction educator

    Georgina Rubal Peace, BS Nutritional Science, currently attending the University of

          Arizona in the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

 

CSA Teen Scene seeks to provide teens with opportunities to:

  • Gain a clear understanding of celiac disease through small group discussions with dietitians

        and other professionals.

  • Actively share ideas with other teens for successful self-management of the gluten-free diet.
  • Relax and have fun together.
  • Develop on-going peer support systems.
  • Discover new gluten-free snacks and meals in the Conference Exhibit Hall.
 

Highlights to include:

  • Cooking workshop with Rebecca Reilly
  • Dialogue with a dietitian and/or healthcare professionals
  • Shopping trip to local grocery store to explore survival strategies for label reading
  • Movie/Game Night and Evening Pool
